Habitat receives funds for each donated vehicle, although a car sold at auction generally generates more revenue than one that is recycled. Every donation makes a difference and the families that partner with us are extremely grateful for your help.

The donated camper is sold through an auction and the proceeds are turned over to the Goodwill Car Donations organizations in your local area. The money from your donation helps by providing disadvantaged individuals with job training employment and learning opportunities, livelihood assistance, and other community-building services.

Our mechanics take most donated vehicles and run them through a rigorous 70-point inspection. If there are minor repairs needed we take care of those before it goes onto our lot for sale. We wash and detail the vehicle before it is put out onto the lot. When your vehicle sells, you should be able to write off the sale price on your tax return. You will need to determine how the tax deduction applies to your specific tax situation.

Without an eBay login you will be unable to purchase one of the donated boats, jetskis and personal watercraft. The donated boats are sold through our store, proceeds are used to fund our outreach programs.

Pre-Prepped Camping Bundles will include camping essentials for (2) people, designed for your comfort and convenience. This will allow you to travel light, and have the freedom to choose your own camping spot. If you choose to, you are able to take your camping items home following the festival. Any leftover camping items will be donated to local charities. Bundles will be picked up at the Box Office upon arrival.

If you traded in the vehicle to a dealer, the title application for your new vehicle should show that your previous vehicle was traded in. If you donated your vehicle or vessel to a charity, the charity should provide a receipt with a description of the vehicle or vessel including the year, make, VIN, HIN, serial number, and date of donation. Either one may be considered an acceptable record of sale.
